100% of every dollar donated goes to AMC operations!!

Did you know that 100% of every dollar donated to the Aerospace Museum of California directly supports the Museum’s programs and operations?

We do not pay outside firms to do Museum fundraising.  We do receive guidance and advice from a professional fundraising firm.  They are donating their services. We put every dollar you donate to work to make a better Museum.

In 2007 over 101,000 visitors came to the Aerospace Museum of California to view its unique collection of military and civilian aircraft, engine exhibit, use the educational programs, and enjoy the Da Vinci Experience exhibit. The new complex is going beyond the original Museum in terms of fulfilling the interests of visitors, young and old. In February 2009, we will host the exhibit Space: A Journey to our Future, which is currently at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.

The Foundation is focused on expanding its educational programs. The museum houses the McClellan Air Force Base history as part of honoring the history of military presence in the Greater Sacramento area, the history of civilian aviation, and the impact of aerospace companies such as Aerojet.

The Museum has been twice recognized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics for sponsoring their continuing education teacher workshops.  If we act on our vision, the educational programs and teacher workshops can open the door for young people to the limitless adventures and career opportunities that are available in aerospace, aviation and other technical fields.

Outright Cash Donations

Want to make an immediate impact on the museum? Outright cash donations are the most often-used way to make an immediate gift to the museum. To make an immediate cash donation, or to download a donation form, simply click the "Donate Now" button below.

Capital Campaign

The Museum has embarked on a Capital Campaign to complete paying for the new building and Air Park, to enable us to build more interactive exhibits, and to build an educational endowment for the future.

In addition to Hardie Setzer’s $1.0 million leadership gift, some of our other major donors are: SAFE Credit Union, GenCorp Foundation/Aerojet, Sacramento County, Teichert, SPAN Construction, Northrop-Grumman Foundation, McClellan Park LLC, Pride Industries, the Aerospace Museum Board, Nella Oil Company/Flyers Gas Stations, URS Corporation, Bob and Carol Wolfe, and Jim and Mary Hopp.

Memorial Plaza

You are invited to take advantage of the opportunity to honor those who have served their country in the armed forces and in the civil service. Through this program, you can memorialize your friends’ or relatives’ service to our nation.

The McClellan Memorial Plaza Fundraising Campaign provides opportunities to purchase personalized bricks, commemorative pavers, benches, or historic bronze reliefs with your individual, family, company or organization name imprinted. Company logos/military insignias can be engraved on pavers (one inscription per paver). These pavers and bricks will be embedded in the McClellan Memorial Plaza “Walk of Honor” at the Aerospace Museum of California to honor those who have served our country.

Planned Gifts - A Lasting Legacy

Planned gifts allow you to share your future and that of your loved ones while also supporting the Museum in areas important to you.

Giving opportunities can be tailored to meet your specific financial and estate planning needs. Planned gifts provide financial support in a wide range of activities at the Museum. One of the easiest and most popular giving methods is to include the Aerospace Museum of California in your will. Planned giving means that you can often make a larger gift than you may have thought possible while also benefiting yourself.

A planned gift offers many advantages, including the opportunity to:

    * Increase current income to yourself and/or your spouse or family.

    * Convert low-yielding or non-income producing assets into lifelong income.

    * Reduce or eliminate capital gains costs and/or estate tax liability.

    * Enjoy a significant income tax deduction.

    * Make a significant donation to the Museum.

Assets that can be used to fund a planned gift include:

    * Cash.

    * Stocks or bonds.

    * Real estate.

    * Retirement funds.

    * Closely held stock or business interests.

Please consult with your attorney or financial advisor or contact the Museum's Executive Director, Roxanne Yonn, for information about including the Aerospace Museum of California in your estate planning. Roxanne can be reached by phone at (916) 564-3250

Life Settlements

The Aerospace Museum of California Board has begun to work with the top leaders in the financial and insurance industries. Life Settlements is one technique that enables qualified seniors to make substantial donations to charities during their lifetime – without any out-of-pocket costs or risk to their estates. This opportunity is available to those between the ages of 70 and 85, who are in good health, and who are uninsured or unsatisfied with their current life insurance policy.
