Contributions to the museum ensure that present and future generations will remember the sacrifices and accomplishments made by the pioneers of aviation and aerospace history, as well as fund special programs that help to educate the next generation of pioneers. The Museum is a privately operated, 510(c)(3) nonprofit organization. (Our TIN is 94-2831253) We rely on the support of individuals, corporations and foundations to help us accomplish our mission and goals.

Outright Cash Donations

Capital Campaign

The museum has embarked on a Capital Campaign to complete paying for the new building and air park, to enable us to build more interactive exhibits, and to build an educational endowment for the future.

Memorial Plaza

You are invited to take advantage of the opportunity to honor those who have served their country in the armed forces and in the civil service. Through this program, you can memorialize your friends’ or relatives’ service to our nation.

The McClellan Memorial Plaza Fundraising Campaign provides opportunities to purchase personalized bricks, commemorative pavers, benches, or historic bronze reliefs with your individual, family, company or organization name imprinted. Company logos/military insignias can be engraved on pavers (one inscription per paver). These pavers and bricks will be embedded in the McClellan Memorial Plaza “Walk of Honor” at the Aerospace Museum of California to honor those who have served our country.

Planned Gifts - A Lasting Legacy

Planned gifts allow you to share your future and that of your loved ones while also supporting the Museum in areas important to you.

Giving opportunities can be tailored to meet your specific financial and estate planning needs. Planned gifts provide financial support in a wide range of activities at the Museum. One of the easiest and most popular giving methods is to include the Aerospace Museum of California in your will. Planned giving means that you can often make a larger gift than you may have thought possible while also benefiting yourself.

A planned gift offers many advantages, including the opportunity to:

    * Increase current income to yourself and/or your spouse or family.

    * Convert low-yielding or non-income producing assets into lifelong income.

    * Reduce or eliminate capital gains costs and/or estate tax liability.

    * Enjoy a significant income tax deduction.

    * Make a significant donation to the Museum.

Assets that can be used to fund a planned gift include:

    * Cash.

    * Stocks or bonds.

    * Real estate.

    * Retirement funds.

    * Closely held stock or business interests.

Please consult with your attorney or financial advisor or contact the Museum's Executive Director, Roxanne Yonn, for information about including the Aerospace Museum of California in your estate planning. Roxanne can be reached by phone at (916) 564-3250

Life Settlement Donations or Pledges

The Aerospace Museum of California Foundation Board is offering you a different type of opportunity to make a donation to the Aerospace Museum of California (AMC) Foundation. It is called a “Life Settlements”, and this paper will briefly explain the opportunity in the paragraphs below.We all know that there are many ways to make donations to a charity (or church) – cash, stock, aircraft, property, 401(k) distributions, etc. These are the ways most of us are familiar with. There is another option called “Life Settlements”, where an individual may donate his or her unneeded life insurance policy to the Aerospace Museum of California Foundation.

We are aware that many of our supporters want to donate to AMC without negatively impacting their estates, and they want to see first-hand the good their donation can do. Through the use of Life Settlements, seniors can make a substantial donation to the Foundation through the sale of an unneeded or unwanted life insurance policy.

Rather than let these insurance policies lapse or surrender them to the insurance company for the cash surrender value, the Museum Foundation through a broker can offer the insurance policy owner the option to sell their policies for a lump sum payment that is greater than the cash surrender value of the unneeded policy. The proceeds can then be used to make a worthwhile contribution to the Museum Foundation while potentially benefiting the donor from a significant tax deduction.

If this sounds of interest to you, please contact Mr. Harp Didier, your estate planner, or your tax accountant. Mr. Didier is a volunteer for the Museum Foundation and will provide assistance in answering your questions about this Life Settlements opportunity.

The Aerospace Museum of California Foundation Inc does not endorse or recommend Life Settlements. We offer the information only as one possible way to consider making a donation to the Foundation.

For more information call Mr. Harp Didier at (916) 424-4839 or by email at ujdidier@nexussolution.com.
